With community and school sports in championship playoffs, SPORTSMANSHIP is the Positive Action Word of the Week. Watch a young athlete with UNIQUE challenges overcome and celebrate community with Buzz Aldrin, who inspires the future from his past. Sports can make a community come together as a family in support of their team. As a community, it is important for adults to encourage Positive Actions ON and OFF the field. Sports often enhances Developmental Assets #14 – ADULT ROLE MODELS – «adults in the child’s family, as well as nonfamily adults (teams, coaches, etc.), who model positive, responsible behavior» help Morgan County Scholars achieve success academically and emotionally.
