Sports can make a community come together as a family in support of their team. As a community, it is important for adults to encourage Positive Actions ON and OFF the field. Sports often enhances Developmental Assets #14 – ADULT ROLE MODELS – “adults in the child’s family, as well as nonfamily adults (teams, coaches, etc.), who model positive, responsible behavior” help Morgan County Scholars achieve success academically and emotionally.
